I just ordered the Dell 24" Widescreen Monitor. It should arrive within a few days. Does anyone who has this monitor, know if there is anything special I have to do to run FS9 on it? I was just wondering if there are any config modifications that need to be done or anything like that for games (specifically FS9)to run in widescreen?Thanks in advance for any advice.Rob

I have one I use for work. I've run some games on it, and it seems plenty fast. It shouldn't have any trouble keeping up with FS9.The only 'issue' I can think of would be the 2D panels. They'll either be stretched or will need to be resized to their correct proportions. 3D panels should be properly scaled on their own. The monitor runs at 1900 x 1200 so you do need a video card that can handle that resolution. You can run other resolutions, but the native resolution for the monitor is 1900 x 1200.I think there is a setting in FS9.cfg to tell it not to stretch the 2D panels.

It is an awesome monitor. It stretches a little bit in 2D but nothing I can't live with. I run 1920x1200. It makes the sim much more realistic with the added real estate. Enjoy it!

Thanks for the help guys,I just got it this morning and have been playing with it all day. Wow!! This is the best upgrade I ever did for my PC. what a difference it makes over my old 19". Im very happy with it, and my PC seems more than able to handle it.(P4 3.8 & Geforce 6800)If anyone is debating getting this monitor, I would not hessitate to recommend it.My next upgrade maybe a 7800GTX, but im not sure if it will be worth it over the 6800.Im happy for now.Rob
