  1. I had to format and reinstall XP this weekend. I am an original registered ASA user but remember ASE was a free upgrade to ASA users. Anyone know how to get an installer and replacement license key? I contacted 'official' support but no reply as of yet. I'm hoping HiFi hasn't gone belly up??? Last time I needed support response was so quick I couldn't believe it. Is Damian the only support person now?
  2. Count me in! I am still running an old e8600 with XP and FS9 and really do not want to give up my AI blast!!!For those who are running WinXP 64bit is fshotseat compatible?I am going to be upgrading to Intel Ivy Bridge i.e. 3770K and Nvidia Kepler and probably will be forced to go to Win 7 but am tempted to install Win XP on the system just to keep fshotseat. Is that buy-in or what?
  3. Has anyone purchased this addon? http://secure.simmarket.com/wet-operations.phtml I contacted the author but can not get an understanding from him of how it works e.g. gauge with fx files and also does it work with AI traffic or User aircraft only? I also haven't seen any reviews however it seems to be selling very well. Thanks!

  5. Jim,I found my order information from January 2009 ... bought an upgrade to ASX then recently installed ASE when it was released. Look forward to your e-mail as I am dead in the water now. Thanks,Jerel
  6. Hello,I am having a problem when I start ASE. It says Online Activation Problem. 'The license has already been activated on other computers several times.' I only use this program on the client machine via WideFS. I am a registered user.Interestingly, since upgrading to ASE, each time I start the program it has prompted me saying the license has not been activated so I activate it. Tonight I get the above error message. I sent my purchase details to the support e-mail address. Thanks for the help.Kind regards.Jerel
  7. Hello,Has anyone purchased any of the World Sceneries products? I picked up their Amazonia a while back and wanted to pick up one or two more from Simmarket. Unfortunately the two websites Simmarket shows as World Sceneries support are no longer working. I do not have any AFCAD2's or updates for the Amazonia package and was wondering how can I get updates if I purchase others??? Is their a site with their support files (public) or if someone has them can you e-mail them to me and/or tell me if their is an update for Amazonia, Wonderful Rio and their other packages. On a side note, I e-mailed simmarket and they said they have no heard from the vendor in two years. Interesting, I wonder who gets the money when customers buy products from vendors who fold. Thanks!
  8. Happy New Year!I am using Active Sky Advanced with FS9/FSX and I was sitting at SBCF and ASA reported overcast with light/moderate rain. I saw the overcast clouds but no rain. I am running ASA over WideFS and sometimes if I close ASA and restart it will reproduce correctly. This particular time it did not produce the precip. Any ideas if I have a particular setting wrong? Thanks!
  9. Hello, I was going through the ASA manual resetting my options inside of FS9 and wanted to find out what are the settings Dynamic Weather. It is located in the "Settings" area, under "Realism and Weather/Weather" labeled 'Rate at which weather changes over time'. It is currently set at Medium. Is that correct or should it be None? Thanks!
  10. I will look into those things. Interestingly, the graphical corruption does not happen all the time. If I let the sim run i.e. AI spotting it may occur after an hour or so. Kind've hard to troubleshoot when it's not all the time. I didn't want to spend money on more fans if it would be a waste -- if my temps are ok. I don't mind spending 10 bucks on a fan for the northbridge or something but didnt want to have to upgrade 120mm fans if at all possible. I am running a Themalright 120 Extreme on my CPU w a 1600 rpm SFLEX. CPU temps appear to be fine. What are safe temps for the Northbridge? Do you recommend a separate fan on that? What program(s) do you use to check temps? I've got speedfan, realtemp and asus probe but the info seems to be different for each and hard to decipher whats what.A guy over at overclocking.net suggested I may need to increase my voltage and that could cause the graphical issues since their is a lot going through the NB.
  11. Thank you guys for replying to my post. I am having some problems as I reported in another thread similiar to what was reported by Toms Hardware back in 2004/2005 timeframe - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dual-d...g-bigs,759.htmlSpecifically this page - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dual-d...igs,759-14.htmlI have an overclock on a E8600 @ 4.0 GHZ w ASUS Rampage Formula and I am trying to find out if I need more voltage on the CPU, more cooling (I was thinking of replacing two SCYTHE S-FLEX 1900RPM with two DELTAS) and or adding in another 5850 and going crossfire. I know NO crossfire in sims but I thought maybe putting the second monitor on the other gpu would help somewhat. I know ASUS probe II isnt the most accurate from what I read but my alarm for NB goes off at 45C on idle. I was also considering buying a 40mm fan for that.Any ideas?
  12. Is it possible to have two video cards w two lcd monitors and have each monitor plugged into a separate card? If so, can you run for example an outside view on lcd 1 and maybe a spot view on lcd 2? Curious if the 2nd card would take some load off the 1st card and would that work with FS2004?
  13. Thanks for the reply. Nice setup. What I meant to say was when I undock the spot view window and move it to the 2nd monitor and expand the window so it covers the whole monitor I start getting the display corruption on both monitors. I am running windowed on monitor 1, then a expanded undocked window on the 2nd monitor. I also have never been able to get full screen to work once. Per Microsofts support article this must have worked at some point in time but I've never had it working in full screen.I notice you are running 2 video cards so that might mitigate the corruption issues I am seeing. May have to take a look at going that direction. Do you run 2 monitors on 1 card and 1 monitor on the other card? If so, what is your multi screen windows setup on the card that runs 2 monitors?Happy holidays!
  14. I found an interesting article regarding multiple monitor setups at tomshardware and one of the games featured was FS2004. This seems to be related to the fs9 graphic engine. This article is very old (2004) and can't see how it can be driver related.http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/dual-d...igs,759-14.htmlIt would be nice if a patch or a workaround was available to prevent this issue. If anybody is running FS9 with a dual monitor setup try this ... use a windowed mode on monitor 1 and open a spot view full screen on your second monitor. I know the article mentions heat but my video card is way below those temps and within acceptable temps per my card manufacturer (called them to confirm).
  15. I am having some graphic problems with FS2004. I am trying to figure out if this is a FS9 known issue, video driver, or other problem. I am running an E8600 @ 4ghz and a GTX 280 (191.07 and nHancer 2.5.7) running on two LCDs at 1920x1200. I do not have a problem with single LCD 1920x1200 full screen or windowed mode. The problem seems to happen when I undock a window and maximize the window on the 2nd LCD monitor. <I have a attched a screenshot>. It looks like texture aliasing or artifacting. I do not know if I am using the correct term and I apologize for the image quality but it should serve as a reference to what I am explaining. Also, it seems to only affect the aircraft I am flying. All other graphics are fine.Interestingly, I found that if I create a flight, setup the 2 LCDs, connect ActiveSky over WideFS and when it outputs weather depiction the problem starts immediately. I do not believe this to be an Activesky issue. Also, I am using FSElemental Intense Pack and I thought the large bmp file sizes were causing the problem so I used a batch converter to reduce the size but that did not eliminate the problem. Also disabled all AI and ruled that out as an issue. Any ideas and/or help would be greatly appreciated.I am seriously starting to think something is wrong with my video card (280) as it should be able to render two screens no problem.Thank you for the help and suggestions. 16. Jim,I am using the latest build of ASA. I ran into this issue. My internet connection dropped for a minute and I clicked 'OK' on ASA to go to offline mode. When I restarted my internet connection after reading this post I checked to make sure that automatic downloads was enabled. I clicked the 'refresh' button but as you said earlier it will only refresh offline content. I then went to the historical tab , online dynamic data and clicked apply button. The settings on the online dynamic data was todays date, and 0 hour and 0 minute. GMT selected. Did I do the correct procedure to get ASA back on online mode?Thank you.Kind regards,Jerel
