January 2, 200620 yr Hello,As you see in my config below I run 3 monitors onto 2 video cards. To day my monitors have the "identity" 1 and 3 on my GF TI4600 and the "identity" 2 on the GF FX5200.Is it possible to change the identity of a monitor and if "yes" how to? I try to have "identity" 1 and 2 onto the TI4600 and "identity" 3 onto the FX5200.This has an impact on the game Flight Simulator FS2004 or FS9.Thanks in advance. January 3, 200620 yr I'm assuming you're using nVidia nView. It can do lots of interesting things as far as arrangement of the monitor placement goes...you can put them in a stright line, an L config etc. It doesn't care which monitor is #1 2 3 etc.In some mobos you can specify AGP or PCI as primary video, which will reorder the cards. My experience with 3-4 monitor configs was pretty dismal...really slowed the refresh rates down.Good luckBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Santiago de Chile Bob Scott | President and CEO, AVSIM Inc ATP Gulfstream II-III-IV-V Sys1 (MSFS20+24/XPlane12+11): AMD 9800X3D, water 2x240mm, MSI MPG X670E Carbon, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, nVidia RTX4090FE Alienware AW3821DW 38" 21:9 GSync, 2x4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2x2TB Samsung 990 SSD, EVGA 1000P2 PSU, 12.9" iPad Pro Thrustmaster TCA Boeing Yoke, TCA Airbus Sidestick, Twin TCA Airbus Throttle quads, PFC Cirrus Pedals, Coolermaster HAF932 case Sys2 (P3Dv5/v4): i9-13900KS, water 2x360mm, ASUS Z790 Hero, 32GB GSkill 7800MHz CAS36, ASUS RTX4090 Samsung 55" JS8500 4K TV@60Hz, 3x 2TB WD SN850X 1x 4TB Crucial P3 M.2 NVME SSD, EVGA 1600T2 PSU Fiber link to Yamaha RX-V467 Home Theater Receiver, Polk/Klipsch 6" bookshelf speakers, Polk 12" subwoofer, 12.9" iPad Pro PFC yoke/throttle quad/pedals with custom Hall sensor retrofit, Thermaltake View 71 case, Stream Deck XL button box Sys3 (DCS/P3Dv4/ATS/ETS): AMD 7800X3D, MSI MPG X870E Carbon, Noctua NH-D15S, 64GB GSkill 6000/30, EVGA RTX3090 Alienware AW3420DW 34" 21:9 GSync, Corsair HX1000i PSU, 4TB Crucial T705 PCIe5 + 2TB Samsung 970Evo Plus, TM TCA Officer Pack, Saitek combat pedals, TM Warthog, TM RS300 FF wheel/pedals, Coolermaster HAF XB case
January 3, 200620 yr Author Hello Bob,I do run nView, my "problem" is that in FS9.cfg I only find 2 entries :[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600 -XTreme-G by TRU.0]Mode=1600x1200x32PanelAsTexture=0[DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 -XTreme-G by TRU.1]Mode=1024x768x32PanelAsTexture=0TextureAGP=0so I cannot change , in FS9, the resolution of the second monitor attached onto the TI4600 so that when to day I "jump" into Full Screen it reduces the resolution of that monitor to 1024x768x32 and I want to increase that resolution !!I did found that if I can change the "identity" of that monitor to 2 it will be present in the FS9.cfg and I can change the resolution.FYI running with my config does NOT reduce a lot the FPS of the game. Thanks for helping.
