May 12, 200620 yr Hi there,The problem you are describing is common to cheaper video cards that cant handle fogging well for example ATi 9200SE and such cards, you shouldn't have any issue with the 6600. When it comes to the hard horison there are a few other things you can check. As you might already know, FS has a problem with the sight distance slider. Setting this slider to anything over 70 will make FS see to infinity but it will only render 70nm of the sorounding terrain. This setting is only used at lower altitudes or when METAR visibility falls. I would suggest turning your sight distance down to 60nm. Having said that and assuming that you are a user of Active Sky (I recommend this add-on) weather generation, you should check the visibility limits. This can also cause the haze on the horizon not to be seen if you have the "Enforce visibility limits" check box ticked and have the maximum visibility set to anything over 55nm, you need to experement with this till you find a look you like. Now for the last thing you could check. If you are using non default sky textures (sky sets) they too can cause a hard horison depending on how the texture has been shaded. I use Active Sky's Clear day 2 for my sky texture and it gives a good effect. If you have any questions about these settings you want to ask offline just drop me a private message and I'll get back to you. Good luck!
