September 9, 200619 yr I have two monitors. The older one is gatweway vx900, circa 1999. Lotsa use. Never a problem. Recently, several (2-6, it varies) thin, white, horizontal lines have appeared at the top of the screen. They come and go. Picture still great. Bright, good color, etc.Coincidentally, when I bring up FS9, undock the view and move it to the second monitor, the gateway, I can't expand the view to full screen before the cursor starts fluttering. A couple times, FS has CTDd, saying the video driver couldn't handle the load, or something like that. Also, I have always kept sliders all the way right, TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=21, and got 20 FPS (locked) in all but very complicated scenery, i.e., on the runway at SEATAC with lotsa clouds and 100% AI, etc. Maybe 15 FPS there before. Lately, only 5-10 FPS there. Sometimes. Not always, but occuring more often. Also, FPS now decreases 5-6 when I drag the full cockpit view to the second monitor. Before, FPS increased 4-5 when I dragged the view to the second monitor. So those are the symptoms. It has all occurred slowly over time. Any thoughts about the remedy? Where to start? Hardware? Software? What to check? Limited knowledge, but willing to learn. Tutorials? Thanks for any help with this.Rob
