December 15, 200223 yr Hi,I purchased your program and found it wonderful but have one problem. I flew KBNA to KORD. Takeoff and climb was normal once at cruise the upper wind speed was 335 at 58 it stayed that speed and direction until I closed out Flight Simulator. Even after continually refreshing Active Sky the speed and direction of wind would not change. In actuallity the wind speed at Chicago at the time according to Active sky was 039 at 09.Any help appreciated,Thanks in AdvanceSean
December 16, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hi Sean,Hmm.. could I get a screenshot of the main, option and runtime screens (including FS Shift-Z screen) to help me troubleshoot it? Please email to and I will investigate. This has not yet been reported... December 16, 200223 yr I have just experienced the exact same problem flying into Cozumel,MX. "Surface" winds stayed at the aloft figure of 250@58, even refreshing I could not get winds or clouds to update. I finally updated via "FS2k2 real weather" in order to be able to land. After that I cleared all weather, and restarted Active Sky wxRE. I then waited on the ramp for about 15 minutes and left FS alone to see if it would update - NO JOY. Neither clouds or winds updated.Running FSUIPC latest version, settings per instructions across WideFs (verified connected - running RC3 also).Joehttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg Joe Lorenc
December 16, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hmmm let me try to duplicate this at Cozumel... be in touch shortly.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 16, 200223 yr I'm not sure if this will help, but I was having trouble refreshing my clouds during one flight, didn't see if it was the winds too. My problem was my cloud transition interval was set to high. I leave it at five now.
December 16, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hi yes everyone please remember ActiveSky wxRE is a dynamic weather engine... the results of weather changes will take time to appear, by design.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 16, 200223 yr Commercial Member Ok I cannot duplicate this. There has to be some kind of FSUIPC communication problem. Please confirm you have tried Force Idle Priority (checked and unchecked) and please reset FSUIPC to defaults (using it's buttons) then reset FSUIPC per the docs. Then reboot and try again and let me know if this fixes it. Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
