December 18, 200223 yr Hi Damian, and allJust bought ASwxRE and I am not at all disappointed. Rather the opposite. You've done a heck of a job here Damian! :-) Congrats!!I've been setting up my second computer to run ASwxRE and it works great! THe wx I've been flying these last flights are truly amazing! Some small notes though. It would be great if there was a button to interupt the ongoing download and processing. I discovered that, when trying to download wx from an offline(?) or at least non-cooperative VATSIM METAR-server I didn't have a chance of stopping it and changing it to download NOAA wx until the download timed out. Even when I managed to get the Options window open and was trying to close it I got this message "Please wait until the download is finished". I also noticed that when running ASwxRE over WideFS, it does not seem to recognise if FS (and FSUIPC i guess) is present or not. Some kind of wider left margin on the wx print-out would also be much appreciated I think. Apart from these minor things. Again a GREAT add-on. My best buy since Landclass Europe. ;-)BTW. I'm sending this pic for you guys to analyze ;-) I'm using the default white cloudset (cld*.bmp) and FSSky World Moderate Set I (cldcn*.bmp). Has this something to do with 2D and 3D cloud sets???(and yes I know the landing lights are still on...lol) Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
December 18, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hello and thank you very much for the feedback!I will work on those suggestions...Also, as to the cloud problem, this is an FS2002 problem due to having any kind of TEXT on the screen for a length of time. The BRAKES text will do this.. for some reason the FS2002 cloud engine decides to stop rotating the graphics (to face you always) when there is text on screen. This includes ATIS and SHIFT-Z debug info. Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
December 18, 200223 yr Author That's what I call quick response ;-)Glad you found my suggestions useful! :-)And regarding the clouds. I knew ther was a prob with the Shift+Z text but didn't have a clue it was connected to any text. Will get the text removal kit and get rid of that annoying brake msg! Does this apply to the adventure text display as well? Thanks and regards Mats JohanssonPMDG Flight Test Dept | Asus Z270-A | Intel i5-7600K @ 4.8 GHz OC/H2O | nVidia Geforce GTX 1070 8GB OC/O2|
December 18, 200223 yr Commercial Member Hi I think it does apply... any text actually... Not noticeable unless the text is there for a while.-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
