January 28, 200323 yr Moderator Hi there, since Comair is eating all my money I had to switch back from cable to good ole dial up (AOL). Now, ever since I switched I'm having an incredible hard time downloading METAR's.Most of the time the download takes around 2-3 minutes but it appears to be very unrealible (timeout error message). I don't have a firewall active and today for the first time I can't get the download to work period (timeout error message appears immediately).I've searched this forum and found a few posts, but no solutions yet. Any kind soul out there to help me with friggin AOL ;-)Cheers,Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAthlonXP2000,AbitKX7-333(latest4in1),512MB/2700SDRAM,WinXP,DirectX8.1,Geforce3TI200(128MB)(Det.30.82),SBlive(WDM5.1.2601.0) I9-13900K, RTX 4090, DR5-6000MHZ, CORSAIR ICUE H150I ELITE, ASUS PRIME Z790-P, THERMALTAKE TOUGHPOWER GF3 1350W, WIN 11
January 29, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Peter,Sorry, but the problem is AOL! I have been receiving MANY reports of download problems this week, all with AOL users... Not much I can do here! I suggest a better ISP (any ISP other than AOL, which is way oversubscribed). Thanks!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
