Hi all,New update: The beta officially started tonight for v1.6! I'll keep everyone updated on our progress and will give an estimated release date in a couple days. Unless any major problems come up, it SHOULD release within a week. Thanks everyone for your patience!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table

Damian:Congrats on getting to Beta. While I'm waiting can you help with this issue:1) When I setup for TAF and METAR, the METARs have been erroring out lately with 'syntax' errors given as the cause, albeit intermitently.2) No matter what I seem to do to path ASky to the host, (for instance full map setup to the host PC FS2002), I'm almost continually getting a FSUIPC "needs vers XXXX or later" error. I do have the latest available mapped to the host. I've checked the doc setup from first time run, but I'm still getting the problem and it must be some 'little thing.' Until just a couple of days ago and I baked the hdrive it was running on the client, I had the program working great.Anything stand out to you? System is using Wideserver, FSMax, FSGarmin on client, and FS2002 on host Win2K.Thanks!Ron McLeod CYEG

Hi Ron,I see #1 was already answered in another thread..#2, do you have the latest WideFS version? It sounds like perhaps you do not.. double check all FSUIPC and WideFS versions, sometimes other add-ons will install older versions overwriting the newer ones you manually setup before-hand. Does this help?-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table

Yup! That's exactly what happened, Damian. I couldn't believe it! I have checked that same issue many times, but there it was again... an OLDER version of the FSUIPC.DLL.Thanks for the help, that's straightened it out. Unfortunately, I'm not getting radar returns but I'll wait for your new release to chase that one down again.Ron McLeod CYEG

Ron,If you are using the latest FSFltMax you should be getting both rain and snow returns. There is a link in another thread here that will point you to the release. I have it up and running. (BTW it also works with the new Beta version so far)Hope this helps,Jim
