Active Sky 1.6 voice and SB / RW

Featured Replies

Just started to use Active Sky and I seem to have a problem with voice. My setup:computer 1: FS2002computer 2: Wide FS, Active Skyall works great, and I get the weather by voice on the second computerIf I add Squawkbox and Roger Wilco to the second computer (i.e.: if I start both programs) then the metar voice stops. I do get the text metar on the FS computer, but that's all.Is there a problem in my set up, or are they just not meant to work together?Kind regards,Stephan Haashttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...or=SVA1&a=a.jpg

Stephan,Pretty sure it's RW. Try it without and then try RW without SWB.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Jim,Thanks for your quick reply. Not sure what you mean. I want to use all three together when flying on line (SB, RW and Active Sky). Do I ubderstand you well that thi is not possible?Kind regards,Stephan Haashttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...or=SVA1&a=a.jpg

Stephan,It works OK on my system... FS2002, ASwxRE 1.6, RW and SB no problems with sounds at all. I imagine the problem is with the configuration of RW. As Jim suggested, try it without RW to see if that is the cause. If so, you can then try different RW settings to get it to work. You may want to contact RW support. Hi StephanI run a configuration just like you do. I run FS2002 on one PC and SB, RW, and ASwxRe on another. I didn't have any trouble getting the wxRe voice METARs to read out. I know it won't help you. But there is hope for ya! ;-)I'll be glad to help you if I can. Please keep us posted for some serious testing! :-)Regards

Mats (and Jim and Damian of course)Finally I got the problem solved. Updated the soundcard driver (the overall sound (not only with Active Sky) is a little less good, some disturbance in it, but I'll look into that later) and used the RW d version of RW. Don't know which did the trick (so much for a scientific testing procedure) but now it works! Thanks for your reactions, it's good to know that it *should* work, so the effort of testing could be worth while.Kind regards,Stephan Haashttp://vatsim.pilotmedia.fi/statusindicato...or=SVA1&a=a.jpg
