April 7, 200323 yr Hi Damian.Tonight I did my first "ActiveSky flight" over VATSIM network, from LIME to LIRN (ITALY) with the PSS A320-200I have these problems with ActiveSky (I use your fsuipc.ini):- during all flight I have a strange problem: my airspeed indicator continue to change quickly! Well... in others words my IAS is not stable but changes from 200 to 280 kts!!! The strange thing is that the wind is stable (from 300 at 30kt)After some tests I solve this problem checking the SUPPRESS GUSTS and TURBULENCE in FSUIPC-WIND page. Is this correct?- At LIRN (my destination) wind is vrb at 03kt but I have wind from 330 at 14kts until to touchdown, then wind change to 03kts :-)About Flightwatch: this is a great utility, I like it!When it starts reading the first metar a "ding-sound" is played and also after the second metar. Is it correct? Is there the possibility to listen only the arrival (destination) metar and not the present metar and then the destination metar?I'm happy about ActiveSky, is better then FSmeteo in my opinion ;-) Thanks again Damian!Regards,Max------------------------------Flight - Sky - Freedom------------------------------..and sorry for my bad English Massimo Solimbergo | MY PC = MoBo: MSI X670E GAMING WIFI CPU: AMD Ryzen 7800X3D RAM: Kingstone 32GB 5600Mhz GPU: NVIDIA RTX4070TI SSD: Samsung 990PRO 2TB + 970EVO 1TB + 860PRO 512GB + 840PRO 512GB OS: Win11 Pro 64 Monitor: Samsung SJ55W PERIF: Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog + TPR SIM: MSFS2020 Planes: Fenix | PMDG | FSS ERJ | BAe146 Utilities: Navigraph VA: UKvirtual (www.ukvirtual.co.uk) Online Flying Network: VATSIM
April 8, 200323 yr Max,Thanks for the kind words you have posted today. Your Wind setting is now correct. The ding sound plays when FlightWatch encounters data in the METAR that it does not know how decode. The FlightWatch feature is new and is an ongoing project(as is ActiveSky). No way right now to just play the destination METAR.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
April 8, 200323 yr Commercial Member Hi Max, welcome to wxRE!The turbulence can be lowered instead of completely surpressing it... see the readme docs, you can change the turbulencescale value to 0.20.The DING during variable winds is a known issue, I am working on this..Minor variations in wind (actual vs. reported) are normal. There is no way to skip the ATIS report unless you are in range of a FORCED station, then only one report is given.Hope that helps!-Damian

Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation SoftwareDeveloper of ActiveSkyThe next-generation weather environment simulation for FS2002!http://hifi.avsim.net/activeskyhttp://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/images/wxrebeta.jpg]
[/table://http://hifi.avsim.net/activesky/ima...]
[/table Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
