January 5, 200422 yr Hi Damian / AllI would appreciate some help installing Active Radar. I am certain I am missing something really obvious but I suspect I cannot see it for looking. Would some kind soul please remove my 'blindfold' by reviewing what I am doing and telling me where I am going wrong:FS9 runs from F:FS04 on my 'main' FS pc.AS2004.exe is located in E:Flightsim StuffActiveSky 2004ModulesActiveSky2004 on the remote pc.The network between these two pcs is well established and has been used successfully for vatsim flights for the last year or so (the remote pc handles all vatsim related software).I have mapped the E drive of the remote pc to the 'X' drive of the main pc.On the main pc I now navigate to X:Flightsim StuffActiveSky 2004ModulesActiveSky2004 where I find the file ActiveRadarConnector.exe and double click on it.The second dialog box which appears says: "Select your remote AS2004 folder (where ActiveRadar.dll resides). Click next to install to this folder or click change to install to a different folder."Now, the file ActiveRadar.dll currently resides in X:Flightsim StuffActiveSky 2004Modules, i.e. E:Flightsim StuffActiveSky 2004Modules on the remote pc. Is this where I am going wrong? This is the folder I am directing the installation routine to but nothing is being transferred to the main pc's FS04Modules folder. Many thanks for your help ...Paul Croft10 miles SE of EGLL Paul Croft 15 mls north of EGKK

January 6, 200422 yr Author Hi DamianI am sitting here feeling something of an idiot. I *thought* I'd tried connector v2 because I'd downloaded it and unzipped it but, in response to your msg, I ran it again and everything worked fine - except for having to copy across the ActiveRadar folder (the dll copied OK).Not sure what did/didn't work before, probably the lateness of the hour. Anyway, everything's up and running now and I'm very impressed. Huge improvement on other weather I've used so far.BTW, I look forward to your update, whenever you manage to deliver. I saw your msg on the forum last night, before it was pulled. You have my total support. Ignore the vocal, but tiny, minority. Richard Stefan and PMDG have both been victims in the very recent past but you have, I hope, noticed that there is a massive, but much quieter, majority who *do* appreciate the effort you guys put in to improving the lot for us regular FS'ers. Also note that I bought AS2004 yesterday, despite what has recently been written in the forum. My decision was based on the experiences I've had since first buying into AS with wxRE shortly after you first brought it to market. Your commitment to high quality after-sales support does not go un-noticed by those who matter and we understand, even if some do not, the impossibility of delivering software of this complexity which is totally bug-free. It's not the bugs which matter, it's whether they are resolved.Good luck,Paul Croft10 miles SE of EGLL Paul Croft 15 mls north of EGKK
