ActiveSky 2004 weather downloading problem

If I downlading archive weather, a have error message "Invalid weather file folder...Please set a valid folder befor continuing"? And after downloading current weather a have message "Current weather downloaded and made active"? but in METAR I have old default date 120200Z?Alexi

Of course I enered correct data:Year: 2004Month: 01Day: 05Hour: 12 (for example).But more actual problem is: at seems that I can`t get current weather data. I click to "Download" button, than "D/L current" button. After about 1-1.5 minutes I have message "Cuurent weather downloaded and made active", then I refresh (click to "Refresh" button) and... nothing happens. I am always have "Active wx 120150Z" and in ActiveSky folder:- current_wx_snapshot.asd 0 bytes - current_wx_snapshot.txt 1112116 11/12/2003 And no any update weather file? If a press "Save wx" weather data saved to file YYYYMMDD-HHZ.dat, but it contains a old data (I think 11/12/2003). I have discount wersion AS2004, for wxRE users. wxRE also installed in my computer.When I instaled AS2004 first time I entered bad "Order#", then I reinstall AS2004 and enter correct Order#. Hi Alexi,I suggest first trying to delete the current_wx_snapshot.asd file...This should not be there, something went wrong during download or installation..If you continue to have problems after that, I suggest a complete re-install of ActiveSky2004. Please let us know if that works.. thanks!-Damian

Hi,Unfortunately this problem permanently returning. I have only 1 of 10 sucsessfully download weather. IMHO after start downloading current weather, AS2004 stored this data to temporary currentsnapshot***.asd file in WindowstempIntFile folder. But if AS2004 lost connection with server or server broken connection (I think after some times of inactive or for time out or for any other reasons), I have broken currentwx***.asd file (about 50-200 kb, but never more than 300 kb) and current_wx_snapshot.asd 0 bytes file at ActiveSky folder. And also AS2004 reported that "Cuurent weather downloaded and made active", but at the bootom of main program panel I have message that "Latest download cached". I have dial-up Internet connection. Can you help me to solve this problem?Alexi

On the same subject, sort of. I've been trying to download archived weather for the 28th Jan, but the only time I can get is 1800, no matter what time I enter into the UTC box. Any ideas?

Sounds like an Internet connection problem to me. Is it a dedicated line or is it your phone line? What ISP service? How is your general surfing? I've had cable for so long now I don't know all the important questions to ask!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support

Thanks Jim,I don't know what was wrong but i've managed to get them now.

This is a phone line connection. ISP - Russian provider ROL (it is trademark for Golden telekom Rus-Am telecommunication operator). In general I hav`t problem for surfing and downloading any files. But for download weather data for ASwxRe I have some problem, but usually after 2-st or 3-d attempt was be succsessful. In AS2004 if I start redownloading just after broken attempt I have message that "Latest weather downloaded and acticve..." with no attempt to connecting server. May be for redownloading I must delete some temp. file or any other way?Alexi

In your ActiveSky2004 folder there is a file called current_wx_snapshot. Delete that file and try to re-download.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
