  1. Thanks, that was it. For some reason I had a hatch switch set up in FSUIPC, removed that and everything is working fine.
  2. Hi, Is anyone using LINDA and Chaseplane together. The reason I ask is I just installed LINDA to test functionality as I am planning on building a home cockpit but Chasplane no longer works. The hat switch on my HOTAS will no longer pan internal views or select presets within Chaseplane. Did I miss a config setting or is there something else I need to do to get them working together. Thanks
  3. Well apologies to Adam firstly for wasting your time. Although I have been simming for over 30 years I'm still fairly new to Prepar3D and I only got PTA a few days ago so I just thought it was either a PTA issue or the preset. I have been messing around with other presets just taking screenshots to make comparisons in different areas and I have noticed that a few other presets will get the brown horizon. But clearing all the shaders and copying back the originals clears it up, except on 2 presets that I tried where no matter what the brown horizon just will not go away. Anyway, I like this preset so I'm sticking with it now, but I am looking forward to REX Skyforce as well, videos and screenshots look awesome.
  4. Well whatever it was has now cleared. I've moved all my folders and files back one by one, starting the sim up after each one was moved but the issue has gone and I'm still none the wiser on what caused it.
  5. Well I don't reinstall. I have a totally clean backup put aside. I just rename folders, delete the folders and files P3D generates after backing them up so I don't lose my custom settings, takes me about 5 minutes to go back to a clean install. Anyway.....after doing all that and applying Adams preset again......no brown horizon and everything looks fine. Now the hard part, finding out WTH is causing it.
  6. Think I'm going mental, Just reinstalled Adam's preset with the Cirrus Lighting unchecked and now that still has the brown horizon too. Going back to a totally clean P3D install now just to see what happens.
  7. Trying to narrow down what's causing this so I tried another preset, Saldo's December preset. Loaded it up and had the brown horizon. Unchecked the Cirrus Lighting option and reloaded the preset and it still had the brown horizon. So it's not specific to your preset Adam but at least unchecking Cirrus Lighing on your preset kills the brown horizon.
  8. Just do what I did for now, untick the "Cirrus Lighting" option under the clouds section in PTA.
  9. Thanks for looking into this Adam, obviously nothing wrong with your screens. Wondering if view distance settings in P3D are making a difference. What view distance radius setting are you using in your P3D config ?
  10. Found the setting. It's the "Cirrus Lighting". Positioned at KTIW Runway 35 and just slew up a few thousand feet. Rex theme is one called Maldives Realistic Theme.
  11. Just tried a few other themes and it's still the same. Just activated the preset without any of the options under clouds checked and all looks normal, so definitely a cloud setting issue. Going to disable each option under clouds one by one to see which one is causing the issue.
  12. 1) Happens with all weather cleared. 2) The whole day, but between 2200 and 0500 the brown turns a ghostly white. 3) Using REX textures, I found a preset called "Adam_PTA_???" so using that while I'm testing. Happens with default clouds too though. 4) HDR is enabled with the correct settings. Enabling the preset takes care of this though doesn't it? EDIT: Just activated the preset without any of the options under clouds checked and all looks normal, so definitely a cloud setting issue.
  13. Thanks for the replies, but I have already tried all of that. I've tried to cover all the basic stuff and I posted here as a last resort as I'm now stuck. I'm thinking it's a setting somewhere as it's not happening in other presets that I've tried. The only part in Adamski_NZ's install instructions that I couldn't follow is installing FEX clouds as I don't have them. I use either ASCA or REX.
  14. Already tried that. Even replaced the default ones with my own clean backup just in case the PTA ones had become corrupted,
  15. I am trying to use Adamski_NZ's PTA preset "Adam_PTA_26_01" but I get this horrible looking horizon and clouds. Does anyone know what causes this? Using PTA 2.60 and P3D 4.1 I've tried a few other presets and this only happens on one other but I really want to get this one to work.
