February 1, 200422 yr I'm having the same problem, keep getting message saying aloft server not responding. My connection to internet is fine.
February 1, 200422 yr Not sure if you are the same user that sent us an e-mail, but if not, it was possible that the servers were down overnight. About 30 minutes ago I got a good download and right now I tried again and got another good download. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
February 1, 200422 yr Thanks for the help but i'm still getting the message. I'm using wxre on fs2004,could it be a connection problem my end.
February 1, 200422 yr Could be, but now the users that were having trouble are responding that the problem has gone away. I suggest you try again.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Support
February 2, 200422 yr For WxRE V1.91 doesn't download as at 1345CET. I'd pay a subscription for a reliable server. Anyone else?Gavin Gavin Barbara Over 10 years here and AVSIM is still my favourite FS site :-)
February 3, 200422 yr hi everybody, yes, I'd also be interested in a paid subscription to a dedicated and thus more reliable server for wxRE, just like AS2004 uses..in fact, if I remember correctly, I think some time ago Damian said he'd start a seperate thread to gauge interest in this optional service..Currently wxRE uses soundings data for setting the winds aloft, which does not provide much coverage in truly remote or oceanic regions of the world, unlike AS2004; at least I think AS2004 does, as I still use FS2002/wxRE and have never used AS2004 myself. So I am wondering, if and when Damian should decide to allow for an optional payed subscription for wxRE users, would that also mean that wxRE would get the new winds aloft with greater resolution? Or would that involve too much of a change in the program?regards, kenbrussels, belgium
