How to move AS2004 to another comp

Featured Replies

I would like to move AS2004 to my second computer to run AS2004 via WideFS. I had WXRE and just upgraded on my main computer to AS2004. So am I just going to move the whole AS2004 file over to the other computer??? What's the best way to do that. I remember that the upgrade needed some file from WXRE. So, I am not sure that I can really reinstall on a different system.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,You'll need wxRE installed on the WideFS machine to run the AS2004 installer. Eventually we will offer re-downloads of the full version to replace the wxRE-required version. For now you'll need to do this extra step. 1) Uninstall AS2004 on the FS machine2) Install wxRE on the WideFS machine3) Install AS2004 on the WideFS machine4) Share the root drive on the WideFS machine5) Map a drive on the FS machine to the root of the WideFS machine (windows explorer, tools, map drive)6) Get the connector version 2 beta (at top of forum) and follow instructions carefully to install the connectorThis enables full ActiveRadar use with the AS2004 data on the WideFS machine...Hope that helps!-Damian
