Incorrect Data

Featured Replies

Hi Damian and JimToday I flew from KORD to KLGA with the PMDG 737 as always. When I did a check of the metars for KORD it was reported that the conditions in Chicago were winds at 280/24 gusting to 39. The FAA has a delay posted on their web site due to high winds. AS had winds at 290/10. This was really out of wack. Next when I landed at KLGA, I was expecting from the NWS these conditions: temp 9.4C, pressure 29.98 winds 010 degrees at 12, visiblity of 10 or more, and and clouds, few at 12K. What AS was reporting when I landed was winds of 110/4, rain/snow, ceiling of 3000 feet overcast, pressure of 29.89. The actual conditions in New York from the Weather Channel is clear skys winds from the southeast at 5.This is I am sure not a AS problem, but a source problem with the HIFI Data Net. Can you check all this out please. The time of the weather observation was 2000z on 03/11/04. This was a problem both in Chicago and New York with totally wrong data. Thanks for your help on this issueBob JohnsonKDEN

Hi Bob,Just checked the data on the server, all looks to be in order and up to date (and the METARs are reflecting the conditions you have specified). Please send me some more info, perhaps your current_wx_snapshot.txt. [email protected]. Thanks!-Damian
