July 4, 200421 yr I don't understand this. I started a flight and in FS I had to changethe time a couple of ours to get to my real local time which was 17:50. Then when AS downloaded realtime weather it said ESMT 041620Z, the day is correct but the time seems two hours to old. Active wx said 041650Z. I have set SYSTEM TIME in FS and my computerclock is going according to my real local time.
July 4, 200421 yr Hi,Things look to be fine here. The real local time was 17:50Z which you adjust to 17Z. Active wx said 16:50Z which is the 17Z report. When you get to the top of each hour, you enter the zone where most weather stations take thier readings and generate their METARs. Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
July 4, 200421 yr Author No the AS times seems to old. I just started a flight around 22:50 local time but AS gets Activewx 041950Z and ESGP 042020. i.e about three hours earlier than my real local time. Why? (I think I wrote the time wrong in my first message)
July 5, 200421 yr Don't forget that during summer you are 2 hours ahead of zulu time, and during winter you are 1 hour ahead. From what you are saying everything seem to be fine. The metar will be 2-3 hours behind, zulu time, depending on when you get the metar. If you get it just before a new cycle it may seem like 3 hours.JT
