July 22, 200421 yr Hi,After about a month extensive use of the great AS2004, I would like to make a suggestion. It would be really handy if one could minimize the program to an icon (in the right bottom corner of the screen) instead of having a stay in the taskbar. I for one never go back to AS2004 once it has been initialized and the route info has been put in.thx for considering!
July 22, 200421 yr Thomas,Thanks for that suggestion, but if you never return back to AS, then how will an icon help you? I am just trying to understand a little better!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
July 22, 200421 yr Author Well I have AS2004 in the taskbar, and since I don't go back during flight, it doesn't have to be there. If there wore an icon at the bottom right of the screen (where the clock is, don't know how that thing is named ;) ), I can pull the AS2004 screen up again if I need it. When I fly, I usually run other programs aswell (Word eg) and then the AS2004 in the taskbar get's in my way. Just my own preference...
July 22, 200421 yr Most users stop all unrequired apps while using FS and add-ons to improve performance especially stuttering. This lets them use higher sliders for better visual details and smoother operation. That being said, if you are a "long haul" pilot and you let FS run in windowed or minimized mode while you do other work, I can see your point regarding the AS incon in the symbol tray. If it does not get in the way, you should be able to raise the height of the TB and then set the properties to hide. This way the TB can stack more icons yet not be in the way of FS (if windowed) or other apps. The TB will only cover your work when dropping the cursor to the bottom. Be advised that some add-ons, perhaps AS2004, will not work correctly if FS is paused so insure that FS is set not to pause on being minimized.Just a possible work-around.
