August 12, 200421 yr Is there any way to modify the keyboard shortcut ctrl+f12 to activate the weather radar? I am using ctrl+f12 for loading active camera views and would like to keep it that way if possible, and reassign the new radar gauge to a different button.. If it is not available, how easy would it be to add this into the MR2 patch?Ruahrc
August 12, 200421 yr Commercial Member Hi,Unfortunately it is not an easy task, and we have put it on the backburner since you can easily workaround via changing the other apps hotkeys. It's still on the list, we just need to wait until things calm down with MR2 and a development cycle opens up again on ActiveRadar.. hopefully soon. August 13, 200421 yr Too bad for now I guess, but please add it to your list of things to work on though!Actually a kind of related question since I was aware of the key conflict and was not really interested in the weather radar (really just wanted to get accurate METARs and nice weather in FS), I have moved the ActiveRadar folder out of my modules folder and to a temporary holding spot. (I figure I will move it back once I have gotten time to reconfigure the active camera buttons) I also moved the .dll module file as well. This effectively "uninstalled" the radar from FS9, but you list in your instructions as the last steps of the procedures to load the flightplan into the active radar. Now my question is these last steps are merely to give functionality to the radar, and do not affect the weather or the rendering of weather in the sim right? In other words, has my uninstalling of the radar affected the weather I see in FS9 at all?Ruahrc
August 13, 200421 yr Hi,You are correct, loading the plan into the RADAR was just for the RADAR data. This will not affect AS and FS at all.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
March 15, 200719 yr How's this for opening an old post?! (saves starting a new one) Just wondering whether any progress had been made in being able to change the shortcut for active radar in the intervening updates.Great productThanksPhillip Phillip Speer
March 15, 200719 yr Hi Phillip,Thanks for writing and the kind words! No, nothing was ever done about this. Radar has been basicly left alone until we see what the future holds with new versions.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
