Unfortunately running in full screen will hide SB when run from the start menu. From my limited knowledge, when run a program in full screen it will hide other programs and as SB4 is run as a separate program rather than module within FSX it will be hidden. You could try running in windowed mode but allow the menu bars to hide so similar to full screen but SB4 should still be on top. As the module version of SB4 never completely worked then it's the best we can do. Your best bet for advice usually is the vatsim.net forums but they are currently offline due to technical problems but will hopefully be back soon. I'm not surprised the SB forums are quiet as there is no further development. If you want a in program alternative the try FSINN. Again there is installation help in the vatsim.net forums but in the meantime http://flightsim.apollo3.com/docs/fsinn/connectiontovatsim.htm contains most the information just uncertain whether been updated since 2009. Hi Paul, FSX or FS9? If FSX make sure you are starting SB4 via the windows start menu, not within FSX as can cause problems that way. Phillip

Hi Jonathan. Not sure what you mean doesn't exist on VATSIM as if it is present in the real world then it will be simulated on VATSIM. Looking at Airnav, it appears tha KHHR is under the LA ARTCC so it might be worth contacting the ZLA ARTCC, they have a director of pilot relations whose details can be found under the staff page. If you mean that it's not present in VATSPY or Servinfo or similar then yes it can be added. Phillip

Hi Lucas, Which AIRAC is your VRoute set to? Just ran both routes through 1203 at the levels above and both validated ok. Have added the second routing (awaiting moderator approval) as easier to enter and only 1nm longer than the initial routing. It may be if you were using an older AIRAC that the route isn't valid. You should find the errors given when you try to validate which can give you some clues. You may need to look at the Eurocontrol Route Availabilty Document to work out the codes though. Phillip

Hi,No you don't need to cross TUL at FL180. FL180 is the MEA (actually not sure completely the correct terminology being UK based) but basically the minimum level you should be at, at that point on the STAR. The only crossing restriction I can see is to expect to cross LEMYN at 11,000ft (bottom left). Hope this helps.Phillip

Just to add in relation to VATSIM, not all aircraft add ons will transmit transponder settings (mode C or ident) via FSINN or SB. Not certain re the NGX but you may still need to change FSINN to mode C or ident. I believe this is due to differences in FSUIPC and simconnect but someone with more technical knowledge may be able to help.Phillip

VATSIM operates a top-down policy. If there is no underlying position (DEL, GND, TWR, APP etc) then CTR will provide these services. Contact CTR on the ground initially as will likely be providing aerodrome services as well particularly if a towered airfield. Phillip Speer

YesPhillip(slightly longer answer) - FSUIPC is arguably the most important addon for FS as without it many addons wouldn't work without further programming. On top of that it allows a lot of individual configuration of FS. Ultimately it's cheaper than most aircraft and scenery and very vertasile.

Just obtained a new computer with Windows 7 x64 as the OS. I've repeatably tried to install the FS9.1 update without success.I've placed the file in the FS9 folder, tried to run it in compatability mode. I have UAC turned off but have also tried run as administrator. I've tried leaving it for a while as suggested by Pete Dowson in his forums with the original release. The program gets as far as ABLSCPTT.dll then hangs for a short period (less than a minute) the I get a message saying the update was unsuccessfully applied.
