December 5, 201015 yr Commercial Member Captains-A few hours ago we went live with the newly published PMDG 737-NGX flight manuals! In a bit of a surprise move, we have also released the published manuals for the PMDG 747-400.These manuals are about as real as you can get. They are published by the world's leading flight manual publisher, JetPubs, who handle technical publications for many airlines and airline pilot training centers. The quality, fit and finish of these manuals is top-notch, with no effort spared to provide you with the most complete set of manuals to accompany your PMDG 737-NGX or PMDG 747-400.For each of these product lines we have created a couple of bundle options to help you get the most value for your purchase. Each of the main manuals (Flight Crew Operating Manual (vol. 1 & vol. 2: they come as a set), the Flight Crew Training Manuals and the Quick Reference Handbook) can be purchased individually, as can the cockpit posters and the new aircraft system schematic diagrams. You can also purchase them in a CAPTAINS FLIGHT MANUAL SET that gives you all of the above in a bundle with special pricing. With the Captain's set we also throw in a laminated in-flight normal checklist for you to use with the simulation! The top tier for both sets of manuals is the CHIEF PILOT'S FLIGHT MANUAL SET. This set comes with everything you get in the Captain's kit, but ALSO includes three cockpit panel posters to aid in your studies, a set of aircraft system schematic diagrams (two sided... lots of information!), a collection of Jeppesen approach/departure charts to use for practice approaches, and in the case of the 737-NGX, a handbook describing the function of every light and switch on the flight deck! The CHIEF PILOT'S kit also gives you much greater value in terms of freebies, because we wanted to do everything possible to maximize the value of your purchase! We will be posting the BaE JS4100 manual to the site on Monday- for those awaiting the arrival of that manual! As of this writing we have a number of customers who will be taking delivery when the first shipment goes out on Monday or Tuesday- and we hope you folks will come back and fill everyone in on what you think of the kits when they arrive.(I'm unsure if initial shipping will take place on Monday because we are still doing one last security review to be certain nothing related to aircraft or cockpit security is contained in these manuals... That should be finished tomorrow, but I've learned never to make deadline promises around here!)SHIPPING IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS:===============================As of right now, we are assured that anyone placing their order on/before 15DEC10 will receive their order in time for Christmas! Obviously, your arrival time will be heavily influenced by the shipping option you choose- so please plan carefully!GETTING THESE MANUALS AS A GIFT:================================We will be sending out a mass email with details on these new manuals early in the week. If you are not currently subscribed to get email from PMDG (via a setting in your PMDG eCommerce account) and you'd like to receive a copy of this mass email, sign in and change your settings right away! You'll be able to forward the email announcement to that Special Santa Clause in your life- and who knows what Christmas magic may await!UPCOMING RELEASES:==================We will be adding the 747-400 cockpit posters and schematic diagrams to the shopping cart early in the week. Thanks for all of the encouragement, everyone- we think you will really enjoy these manuals! If you'd like to take a look- you can find them at the PMDG eCommerce Store! December 5, 201015 yr Upcoming Releases:No 737? :( But great work guys, everyday is one day closer! :)
December 5, 201015 yr Hopefully I managed to get in on the first shipment going out Monday. Just bought the Chief Pilots set after a few hours of staring at the screen trying to decide between that and the Captain set. In the end may as well go all the way. Thanks for all the information though. I am sure these will be on par with the MD-11 books that have served me well over the past 2 years. December 5, 201015 yr I think he meant to say how exact are they to the actual checklists used on the aircraft as far as procedures go.. My guess would be they are 100% replica's as I am sure we will have to go through all the steps the real pilots do. This QRH looks to be twice as thick as the one that I have for the MD-11X.. December 5, 201015 yr Author Commercial Member Mark-Well... The manuals were created by the same people who built the airplane... (the metal one, not the simulated one!) So I suppose they are about as real as you can get get.Does that help? :( Hopefully I managed to get in on the first shipment going out Monday. Just bought the Chief Pilots set after a few hours of staring at the screen trying to decide between that and the Captain set. In the end may as well go all the way. THANK YOU!I think you will find that this kit sets an even higher standard. I had the first test kit arrive at the office on Friday afternoon, and it was like Christmas arrived early... The funny part is that I've been in on the design and completion process since the beginning- and after a few type ratings I've had my fill of airplane manuals.... But still... there was just something magical about this kit. You'll see what I mean when it arrives- and I'd love the hear your first impressions.(Oh- and any orders that get placed before 12N CDT Monday will ship either on Monday or Tuesday depending on the deliverable timeline for the QRHs...) December 5, 201015 yr Whoaw, I'm going to have to wait for the 737NGX to be released, so I can buy a manual and the 737NGX in one order as my dad doesn't like using a credit card for buying things in the US (I'm from Holland...) So, I'll have to convince my dad it's safe, and I'm going to spare him the hassle of having to transferr money twice. Kind Regards, -Bas Tolsma The Netherlands
December 5, 201015 yr How are they shipped to Germany and what are the costs? Kind regards Hans-Joachim Wennemeier

Will it respect the 3-5 business days rule? Thanks in advance for your answers, and also thank you for making these manuals available, the FCTM was the only one i didnt have on my desk ( guess the training department hates me ) :-)Regards,Andrei McRobbins
December 5, 201015 yr Thank you so much! I've just put my order for the Chief Pilot's set. I was up all night 'til 7am (GMT+1) waiting for you guys to release (even though it's "just" books and I wont get it tomorrow).. But the excitement was too high! This has been released at a very convenient time for me as it will aid me for reference during my ATPL studies, so thank you very much! Thomas Danielsen - FAA Commercial Pilot, JAA ATPL
