  1. In true 'release party' style; Where are you going to be basing your new old ( ) PMDG DC-6 when she is delivered to you? I recently got X-Plane 10 to try another aircraft and I've been hooked but it does mean my world of nice looking scenery is sparse and as such choosing a base of operations is tricky! Of course you can fly it anywhere but I prefer to choose a base and go from there but that is just me, what about you?
  2. PMDG posted a shot of the DC-6 on Facebook saying 'We're taxiing into position with the PMDG DC-6 Cloudmaster for X-Plane!'
  3. Not that I'm watching..but the price is slowly falling
  4. I think it is safe to say that the future of simming is very bright indeed with support like this!
  5. There was something mentioned during the Aerosoft Convention wasn't there? Gleaned towards a new project after the 747/DC6?
  6. Likewise, but after vising the simulators following my company pending their delivery I wouldn't imagine it is very easy..what is easy is saying you are sure it is!
  7. No opportunity until they decide what they want to do with their source codes etc, and to be honest, why would one team pick up a project which clearly bogged down another team? Only a few I can think of that could manage it probably don't work in that way, picking up someone else's work that is!
  8. I must admit I was screaming at my monitor a few times but that deserves more of a well done on your part
  9. Are we being too spoiled? Pretty sure we've never seen a 777 at this standard in FSX, maybe this is the big surprise!
  10. Thanks for the reply, Snowingairlines, the PSU is 800w although I am unsure about the name, the reason I have gone OTT with this is because I'm intending on adding another GPU and more RAM in the future so want the PSU to back it up with, I'll look into the CPU cooler as well!
  11. Hey guys, I'm looking for a bit of advice on a new build PC I'm after. I'm looking at the 'Infinity Level 10' from CyberPowerSystem and I was wondering what your thoughts were on how this would handle FSX and various simulations? Spec is as follows: CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3820 Quad Core 3.60 GHz 10MB Intel Smart Cache LGA2011***Overclockable XXX*** HDD: 128 GB Plextor PX-M5S Series SATA III Gaming MLC Solid State Disk [+2] (Single Drive) MEMORY: 16GB (4x4GB) PC12800 DDR3/1600mhz Quad Channel Memory (Kingston HyperX Blu w/Heat Spreader) MOTHERBOARD: MSI X79A-GD45(8D) Intel X79 Chipset, 3-Way SLI / Crossfire supported, 4 Channel DDR3 ATX Mainboard w/ 8 RAM slots, THX TruStudio Pro 7.1 Audio, GbLAN, USB3.0, SATA-III RAID, 3 Gen3 PCIe X16, 2 PCIe x16 & 1 PCIe x1 ***Overclockable XXX*** [+0] SOUND: HIGH DEFINITION ON-BOARD 7.1 AUDIO VIDEO: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 2GB 16X PCIe 3.0 Video Card (Major Brand Powered by NVIDIA) Aside from a few changes I'll make to the peripherals I'm pretty sure that's the hardware configuration I'll stick with for now. What do you think? I'm not too clued up with this kinda stuff! Sam.
  12. Pretty sure we use the -300 on the ORD.
