I would like to add that I ordered a captains set on the 9th Dec. They arrived in the first week of January. Considering the Christmas rush and travelling across the Pacific Ocean one would have to agree that's not too bad. However, the carton had been crushed on one corner, the cellotape around the box was broken and the box was completely open. I found four manuals in a heap in one corner of the box. Some of the pages were a bit crinkled but otherwise okay. The four manuals I received are; Quick Reference Handbook, Flight Crew Operations volume 1, Flight Crew Operations volume 2, and Flight Crew Training. I presume that's all I was supposed to get. Perhaps someone from PMDG could confirm that. I haven't had time yet to delve into them yet but on first glances they appear very interesting.Thanks PMDG.Bruce RossDunedinNew Zealand

Problem solved! It seems that my bank automatically block overseas transactions over a certain value without the prior consent of the cardholder. I'll try again later.Adrian Osborne.

Hi all,this is for PMDG staff...As i wrote before my package was ordered on 9th December and shipped the 10th via USPS Priority. It was turned to custom on 31th December. And i was very happy about it, waiting to have manuals in my hands. Now they're again in custom waiting for clearing, beacause there is a problem.This problem regards with the receipt on the box sent. The value that JetPubs declared was about 70 dollars lower than the one in the online receipt from PMDG. Now, i hope you all know that this is illegal and that's a way to evade taxes. (also a way to stop a pack for 15 days in custom...).Italian custom saw it because they request me to send them the receipt of the manuals, as they do for every package coming in Italy, and block my package in custom. Now, after a week talking and phoning to the postal service and custom, i hope to see my manuals delivered soon. I hope that one day finally i can see the courier coming to my door with this pack...In Italy usually they block the incoming package and put higher taxes (except the standard ones, like VAT) because of the different values declared.Meanwhile i wanna make you aware of my problem, that is not related in any way with USPS, but with the printer company...(i also hope that it is only an isolated case).I hope nobody else had this problem with manuals clearing by custom...smile.gif

I did.. Had to pay $130 extra for it to clear customs in Denmark because of incorrect value stated on the package.

Hi all,I ordered QRHs forMD11 and the NGX. I received them in the average delivery time (a week), and I'm more than happy by the content quality of it. No problem at all with french customs.I consider myself as a hardcore wanabee simmer, as it's my favourite hobby, but still tons of things to learn, those documents are really worthy !Thanks for all, just wanted to share this with PMDG fans still hesitating.

Hi,I have bought the whole set @400 USD++ and I have to say that I am a bit frustrated not to have at least a nice tutorial manual with instructions on how to conduct a flight from A to B from Dar & Cold state including FMC programming... I know this will be probably included for free with the aircraft manual but still... for customers who are paying more than 400 USD, it would have been wise and nice to include a nicely binded tutotial manual...Gregory

It is impossible to do a simulator-specific manual for an unfinished plane. The FCOM however, explains the FMS as well as all procedures in great detail. For proceedures from start-up to shut-down, see "Normal Proceedures" in FCOM Vol 1, and for FMS instructions, see FCOM Vol 2.

He is correct. I forgot to mention this, but if you didnt already know, the printed manuals are not for the sim, but are actual Boeing manuals. The NGX will be so realistic though, that you should still read and understand the sections of the FCOM that I quoted above, as these procedures will apply in-sim too.
