  2. I would like like some input from AS/REX users about the following: When flying FSX I usually go IFR in Alaska or the PNW. The FSX weather generator is adequate but the cloud textures defiantly need improvement, can anyone recommend the setup I need. It seems most people buy both REX and AS, REX for the textures and AS for the most accurate weather generator is this necessary? There seems to be a lot of info and screen shots for REX but less so for AS. My ideal set up would be the following: -The best real world weather generator -The best cloud textures for FSX -The best product(s) to complement IFR real world flying -The themed settings look nice but I would never use them -Generating my own weather is of no use also.   4. Is there any way to install wingtip strobe lights and a panel switch on the Skyhawk and the Archer?
  5. I mostly fly in and out of class C airspace around Washington and Oregon. When I file a IFR flight plan do I make initial contact with CTR upon departing my departure field? (since there is no CLR,GRD,TWR at my departure feild). Then on decent to approach will CTR clear me as filed into my destination airport? Thanks for any replies.
  6. Oops! pilot error. The COM 1 is the Garmin 430 and the VHF below IS the COM 2. I need to learn that Garmin... Thanks again for the reply Bert.
  7. When tuning the VHF radios for a VATSIM flight I found you need to select the COM 2 button to activate the VHF 1 radio. When COM 1 is selected it should active the VHF 1 radio. The COM 2 button should be inactive or INOP. Anyway to fix this?

  9. kb1Tom, Thanks for the reply. I tried reloading the Seneca- no help. My F33 Bonanza HSI works fine seems to be the Seneca only. Any more help would be great.
  10. I just reinstalled my FSX loaded up the Carenado Seneca for a quick IFR flight from KSEA-KBFI. Noticed that my HSI is inop. Seems that the HSI is only a dummy gauge not workable at all. The last time I flew the Seneca I thought the HSI was adjustable using the course and heading knob for auto pilot etc. Did somthing go wrong on the reinstall?
