HIMy HiFi METAR reports always seem to have a vis of 10SM (or less) even though I get to see to my set limit of 50 for most 10SM reports anyways. Is this usually the case and what does it actually mean?Allen

In Canadian METARs you'll frequently see them go up to 15 SM.
