January 16, 200521 yr Yes, the winds in that area have been quite strong lately. Here's a snippet of a flight plan (KJFK-LGAV) I ran on Friday in the same general area. Note the predicted ground speed of 650 knots AT FL330 above the line with the highlighting! Smokin' :-DGraham
January 16, 200521 yr Hi, to my knowledge they are correct i've done a few flights in eastern canada and I too had those winds, caused alot of delays for me when on flying against it.
January 17, 200521 yr Commercial Member Yes, a few days ago when I was checking the weather for that area and from eastern Ontario over they were cautioning for severe clear air turbulence (CAT) in the region.
