May 26, 200521 yr guys my clouds in the distance are being drawn does everyone get this, if not what is the solution. its so annoying.
May 26, 200521 yr I get this too, and pretty much always have. It looks ridiculous, but I'm pretty sure it's just a video card and/or driver issue. If there's a fix I'd like to know. I tried reducing my sight distance in several places, but I still get it. - Chris Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX | Intel Core i9 13900KF | Gigabyte GeForce RTX 4090 24 GB | 64GB DDR5 SDRAM | Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling | 1TB & 2TB Samsung Gen 4 SSD | 1000 Watt Gold PSU | Windows 11 Pro | Thrustmaster Boeing Yoke | Thrustmaster TCA Captain X Airbus | Asus ROG 38" 4k IPS Monitor (PG38UQ) Asus Maximus VII Hero motherboard | Intel i7 4790k CPU | MSI GTX 970 4 GB video card | Corsair DDR3 2133 32GB SDRAM | Corsair H50 water cooler | Samsung 850 EVO 250GB SSD (2) | EVGA 1000 watt PSU - Retired

May 26, 200521 yr Hi All,In FS put your cloud draw distance at 30 and your sight distance at 60 and lock your framerates at 20. Then try a flight!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
May 26, 200521 yr Author Hi Jim is this really the only cure i like seeing more clouds in the distance and sight distance whatever that is never seems to work anyway?
May 26, 200521 yr I have this problem too.The only way to fix it for me is to set the sight distance (in FS9) at 60 and the cloud draw at 40.This doesn't seem as though it should be this way, as I would like to see more weather building up in the distance at a higher cloud draw distance. I have tried 50 and 60 and always get the 'sketched' clouds in the distance. Really takes away from the realism effect. Are there any better answers to this issue? Thanks. May 26, 200521 yr Hi All,It really is an FS04 graphics engine issue. Some users see it and some don't. I wish I could tell you more!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2004proudsupporter.jpg
