June 17, 200520 yr Hi,Is there an easy way I can tell if I have Mip Maps enabled/disabled? I have shifted a number of times now between them for test purposes and now I'm confused ;-)Edited to add another question on mip maps:Noticed in the display settings in FS9 that you have a slider for Mip Mapping under the hardware tab if my memory serves me right, what does this slider do and is it related to the enabling/disabling you do in ASV?Cheers,
June 17, 200520 yr Commercial Member HI, if you select the 512x512 and you see the cumulus01.bmp in fs2004texture is 1.3mb, they are all mips.In the update, we will add this feature to see what's is teh status.-The fs9 mips slider if for the overall Fs2004 texture, not related to asv, but set this to 4.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
June 17, 200520 yr Author Great, thanks for the info Chris! And if I have the 256x256 textures installed, does that mean the cumulus01.bmp file will be about 512 kb with mip maps enabled...that the size is about doubled with mip maps?Cheers,
June 17, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi, they are not doubled, 256x256 is 342kb with mips.ThanksChris WillisHiFi Simulation Software Team Developerhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg Kind RegardsChris Willis
