June 28, 200520 yr A great program but I have encountered three glitches running it on two computers:1. Active Radar installed with the upgrade works but only until I reboot. Then I have to install it again.2. AE updates will not accept Submit. I get "Error on submit...FS target: J:" with FS9 folder being mapped to J.3. AE Environment options box has several items highlighted all the time, or once highlighted they stay that way, so I cannot select any one of them. Some help would be appreciated.Peter Lowry
June 29, 200520 yr Hi,Is FS04 installed on the 2nd computer?Re-select a highlighted item and it should un-highlight.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 29, 200520 yr Author Okay, the second update appears to have solved the first problem. Reselecting a selected item does solve the third. Now if I can just figure out what to do about the second: update will not submit and produces error message. FS9 is installed on one computer and ASV is on the second with Squawkbox and FlightSim Commander.
June 29, 200520 yr Hi,Is your FS path correct?Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 29, 200520 yr Hi Peter,I have ASV running on a client and cannot get flight watch voice to work. If you have voice working, what is your install paths. Did you use the default path?I installed ASV on the shared drive where I keep WideFs. Thanks in advance. My submit button and options in AE appear to be working corectly.Bob... Bob Prince
June 30, 200520 yr Author My Flight Watch will not work either. My install/directory paths are simply C:FS9 going one way and C:FS ProgramsAVS going the other. I have now reinstalled the program with the updates to no avail. I continue to get "Error on submit ... FS Folder Target:J" when I submit an AE update. Hence I cannot use the AE feature. All else seems to work as it should.
June 30, 200520 yr Peter,Make sure you have granted shares to the entire folder where ASV resides on the client and for FS9 on the server. My AE works fine and changes features as it should. Flight watch text scrolls but no voice.Jim,Can you guys look into why flight watch voice is not working across the network? Scrolling text for flight watch is working. Or is there anyone who has it working and can share the proper setup? Thanks.Bob.. :) Bob Prince
June 30, 200520 yr Hi Bob,I know there are networked users that do have FW working. I am not a big network expert so I will defer to them!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
June 30, 200520 yr Author AE is fixed and works fine. The problem was that I did not have sharing properly enabled, ie. permitting the ASV computer to change the FS files. Flight Watch is still US so I will follow the forum for a fix. Many thanks.
