October 4, 200520 yr I know this is covered in the manual but I am confused by the sentence "Texture changes may require a restart of FS2004 to take effect".I always start at the same airfield EGLK in the UK for VFR flying, when I start ASV before FS2004 it always defaults to DGTK for the current weather download. The manual recommends loading a flight plan, but for flying circuits I don't use a flight plan so I tend to load EGLK to EGLK at 1000 ft.Can someone please explain the correct way to start ASV and FS2004 so I get the maximum benifit from ASV and its textures when flying from EGLK. (BTW I always use online real world weather and I have ICS + Random sky/env selected in options). Is there any way to select EGLK as the default weather station for startup as opposed to DGTK.Many thanksGlen Glen
October 5, 200520 yr Hi,No, we choose DGTK as it is closest to 0,01. Start ASV and let it load.2. Make any changes you wish.3. Start FS04.Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
October 5, 200520 yr Commercial Member Hi,Use the New route function to specify your departure/arrival airports, even if they are the same.. this allows the wx engine to consider the departure as the closest station, and ICS now knows the correct station data to use when selecting textures.Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
