So I'm looking out my window this morning at fog, rain, haze, the works - there's a tropical depression sitting over the central Caribbean and has been for days. You know the OLD story - fire up fs9 and online weather is clear - I mean not a cloud in the sky clear. :-erksThat's it! :-mad I said and headed off to market - Simmarket that is, and finally bought ASVE.Thank you Jim, Chris et al - for rain, haze, the works! :)The one thing that's kept me away so long is I do not like having to start other programs before or after fs9, but ASVE is such an interesting weather program in and of itself, so small and robust I just let it start with Windows and run whether I'm flying or not :)Thank you again from now not so sunny MKJP :-waveregards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lds1.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

Ironically Steve, I do use fsautostart, - I was unclear though, I just prefer(ed) not having any other programs running along with fs9. I think it's a psychological throwback to when I did not have a reasonably decent system :)Thank you though - I never did really explore fsautostart's 'additional program' capability (especially since it sometimes just crashes on me) - just tested it with ASVE as the main app with fs9 next and it seems to work well.regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lds1.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256

Indeed Jim - I made sure to time ASVE to see how long it takes to start, download, write and become fully ready for fs9 - about 70s in my case so I give it 90s just to be safe.So far so good but any problems and I'll revert to my other method. regards,Markhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a319/markrey/lds1.jpgXPHomeSP2/FS9.1/3.2HT/1GIG/X700pro256
