Hello,I have actually problems with FS9, it seams (I repeat it seams!!) that after starting FS9 and after "refresh" of ASV (it is started in Pause Mode), the data is loaded from ASV to FS9 and a few seconds after FS9 is gone !! no error message ....When I do the same procedure without starting ASV there is no problem.So I want to uninstall ASV and re-install it afterwards and I want to be sure I use the good procedure.1/ I backup the ASV Folder2/ Via add/remove I uninstall ASV starting with the a/ ASV/AE 512x512, I do not use themb/ ASV/AE 128x128, I do not use themc/ B364e/ B363f/ ASV Enhanced upgrade 0.7.3671g/ ASV Enhanced upgrade 0.7.3661h/ ASV upgrade from AS2004.5 Installeri/ ASV Active Sky Version 5 0.1.3141OK we follow??Afterwards I install a/ ASV 5b/ ASV upgradec/ ASV Enhanced UpgradeAnd all is done ?Where do I find the 64x64 clouds ? the ones I use.Thanks in advance

Hello,Feedback after "the" operation :1/ Uninstall (takes a lot of time !!) all OK , I cannot uninstall the "ASV Upgrade from AS2004.5 Installer" whan I request the remove it says "Can't unisntall This special upgrade version REQUIRES that AS2004/5 be installed" What to do with ? remove by deleting the registry keys?2/ Installation without any problem (takes a certain time ...) BUT no JOY as long as I fly without ASV I have no problem , when ASV has loaded and is ready ....FS9 disappears !! without any message !!Is there any log file in ASV to help us to find out what is happening?Thanks in advanceDoes a DoctorWatson .log (drwtsn32.log) can help?

Hi,FS9 crashes to desktop when ASV is loaded? There is no connection to FS9 by ASV.. this is all done via FSUIPC communications and this would not cause FS9 to crash.More likely, your system has a problem dealing with depiction of weather/clouds... it could be from problematic cloud textures, video driver issues, etc...Have you tried going back to your pre-ASV textures per the instructions? They are located in you ASVTexture Backup folder and can be copied directly to FS9Texture to replace all textures back to original.When did the problem first occur? I remember you have been using ASV for a long time without problems.. what happened that triggered this? Any new add-ons or scenery?Best,

No, not yet but will do BTW as I use the DXT textures if I go "back" I suppose I have to "uncheck" the "render to texture"?3/ When did the problem first occur? Yes , I think after loading KBWI scenery BUT I alredy did remove it (this was part of my "rollback".4/ what happened that triggered this? To run one of the addon program that handle the scenery.cfg I had to change the "system date" to go back in the date/time , I did change the year to 2004 , run the program (with success) AND I FORGOT to change the year to 2005 for a certain period of time !!!I even did some boots ....I had troubles with MSN Messenger, etc, .... and I changed the year to 2005 again. I found that some of my restore points were unusable ......A lesson for the future !!Is it possible that my actual problems come from that error? Is there a date/time stamp is ASV, FS9? Hello Damian,I found the problem !! Historic :I wanted to test the impact of a line to be added in FS9.cfg in the Display parts (TableFog=0) . So I did add the line in several places (when needed ) in that file and did "save" . As the result was not positive I did remove these lines from the file and saved. When testing and testing again this morning I checked in FS9 the settings of the display and I did found that "render to texture" was UNCHECKED !!!!I did change (check) this and ALL IS OK AGAIN !! What a wonderfull world !!Conclusion : it seams that changing directly in the FS9.cfg file changes some settings !!!! Be Aware !I will have a nice day flying with this great ASV !!Thanks for reading and assisting
