Fastest winds ever seen in FS9

Featured Replies

Using ASV, I am now in the fastest winds I have ever seen in FS9 and I am glad I am going with it instead of against it! Currently enroute to EHAM from JFK. I am on the BOS to ENE portion of the flightplan and current winds are 271 at 167kts!! Obviously I am in the jetstream. Highest GS was 663! At this rate, my flight time is cut down an hour and a half!

I made a flight last Sunday from KDFW to LSZH, tail wind was mid 200's and I arrived an hour early. I had my FS time set for Monday and used TAF processing. The amazing thing is that the following day I was on the actual flight (AAL38) and we also landed about 50 minutes early, pilot even commented on the tailwind.I was also impressed on how accurate the TAF processing was on the FS flight compared to what I experienced the following day in real life. We hit the same weather systems near Boston and New York that were "predicted" by ASV on my virtual flight. Dallas was right on and Zurich was very close to the cloud cover and visibility also. Being my first real flight since buying ASV, I was equally impressed by how real the clouds look in FS9 to what I was seeing out the window.Brad2 miles from KELP/KBIFhttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
