cloud edges and a big THANK YOU!

Featured Replies

hi guys, thanks so very much for this fantastic upgrade. I'm loving the ever changing sunsets and "haze". :) I have a quick question, in the attached screenshot you can see that there are some artifacts around the cloud edges which are pretty pronounced. I am using 64x64 and DXT (have to because of my poor system). I remember seeing this sometimes in ASVE and AS4.5, but never this pronounced. Am I doing something wrong? Also, I'm using wx-infuenced themes for clouds and textures. Thanks for any help, and thanks again for this great upgrade. Happy Holidays!ryan

HI Ryan,Thanks for using ASV.Give a try with 128x128, you should not see much impact on FPS. with 64x64 resolution is the lowest quality. it's appears is a stratus,I will check one by one and what's set is causing this, but this should not happend will all clouds.. Hi Chris, thanks for the quick response. Indeed, it does not happen with 128x128 so I will use that for now. I do see a bit of a performance hit using 128x though, so it would be great if you could determine which texture is causing it, at least then I could use 64x but replace that single texture with 128x.I will look through the textures to see if I can isolate it too, let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.thanks again. :)ryan
