December 25, 200520 yr ASv6 crew, this software is fantastic! I am having one minor problem that I'm hoping you can suggest a solution for.At my hometown airport, KRSV, I get no weather. I start ASV and then FS9. If I start at KRSV, ASV detects the closest wx station as being at KLWV. It doesn't detect the station at KRSV, but that's no big deal and I would not be surprised to find that there is an issue with the real wx station at KRSV causing this. Anyway, it detects KLWV as the active wx station and downloads that weather, but does not apply it to KRSV or anywhere within a few miles of it. The weather remains calm, 14 degree celsius, alt. 2992, etc. Clouds appear in the distance, which I believe are the weather from KLWV, but they don't come any closer than several miles from the area of KRSV. When I take off from KRSV, I have to fly to the weather and then everything is as it should be.If I start at another airport and fly to KRSV, the weather just stops once I get within a few miles of KRSV and goes to being the generic weather as described above. I've tried loading new flight plans, restarting the software, etc, etc, etc with no success. It's like KRSV and my hometown are in a weather-proof zone ;)Could you please test this out and see if it's a problem for you too, or if it's just a strange anomaly with my system. I run ASV over WideFS, but I see the same problem when running it on the FS machine too. I've not experienced this issue at any other airport so far.Other than this issue, I am just loving ASv6 and all its features. Great job!KP
December 25, 200520 yr Author I've messed with it a bit more (reinstalled ASv6 and also enabled global writes) and now I do get a different altimeter setting and the temperature varies by about 2 degrees, celsius from how it was earlier. However, we have dense fog and light rain here tonight, but in FS I'm seeing visibility greater than 20 miles, no wind and no rain. Once I go 6 to 10 miles away from the airport, I do see correct weather representation.KP
December 25, 200520 yr Found the problem...In wx_station_list.txt file the line for KRSV reads:KRSV,39,016,-87.520,100,10.0It should be:KRSV,39.017,-87.660,100,10.0Problem is a "," error on the latitude info.If you compare it with the complete_airport_list.txt the location listed in the wx_station_list.txt is a bit to far east too. About 6nm...Replace the line with what I put in above and it should be working again.JTImage shows wx at KSRV 1400Z, but the time in sim was 2200Z.
December 25, 200520 yr Thanks for the find. I did look quickly last night, but didn't notice this!!Hope this helps,JimActiveSky Sales and Supporthttp://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_dev_team.jpg http://www.hifisim.com/images/asv_proud_supporter.jpg
