Hi All,I finally splashed out cash for As6.For a Scotsman it hurts the sporran to spend money, but I have!So, installed and AS screens working fine. (As far as I know!)I understand I need NET to connect the two programs As6 and Fs, on installation it did not suggest that I needed NET, I have XP so should be on board.Do I ned to tell it to connect? If so..how? AS6 is telling me that it is NOT connected to Fs. This is clear as rader is blank.I cannot find documents, that I am sure will anser all my questions. (See I am an optimistic Scotsman!)Any advice greatly appreciated.

Hi,Thanks for the purchase.1. .NET does not connect the two programs together, FSUIPC does. .NET is needed for ActiveSky Graphics to run.2. If FSUIPC is installed correctly ASv6 and FS04 automatically connect. Is FSUIPC.dll in the Modules folder?3. Thanks for reply.The FSUIPC stuff is a problem for me, in that it stops nearly every .dll in the system and crashes FS to desktop.So I foresse a problem with AS6 on my system coming up! Any ideas/fixes to get FSUIPC working?Thanks,R

Hi there,I want to say that I just tried to install the latest version of activeSky and I got the same problem as this guy. In AS6 it says that FS is NOT Connected. That says it all! All previous versions of AS worked and everything is in the right map. Checked everything 6-7 times and I even reinstalled FS9 and AS6 and FSUIPC and I still got this problem. I also followed all instructions from the user manual, so I pushed the Weather Settings Off in FSUIPC, etc etc. I did everything 3-4 times and still doesn't work.Please help us!

Hi,I am the 'GUY'!OK, I have Active Sky working superbly without Radar!!!For me it was simply taking the sky resolution from 512 down a notch.I do NOT use Radar as for some reason or other, it just trashes my frame rate even at lowest res, key commands change or are lost, and in general not woth the bother to me.I accept that possibly my Schaefells 737 could in conflict, as its key commands are extensive and problematic at installation.However, without radar, and just weather effects it is gobsmaking! Truly stunning especially at sunrise/sunset.I will try again with other aircraft, but currently I am just enjoying the delights of weather, and the terror of zero visisbility landings!Boot up FS then AS6, create a flight plan in FS,an dthen upload it to AS6 through its new plan box on top right. When weater is calculated, download it to Fs.It works!

But even when I'm in Seattle there isn't any weather.

Well, I unchecked it and nothing has changed.I still got this msg."FS is not yet connected - Flight Plan Departure coordinates have been loaded." That's when I start AS6 first, then enter a FP in AS6 and then start up FS9. As you can see, it won't connect...

I can't help but wonder if you've got FSUIPC installed correctly...is the fsuipc.dll in your FS9Modules folder? It couldn't hurt to download the latest (3.53) and install that one...

I am repeating myself cause I've already said that I double checked it and even reinstalled FS9 and AS6. I am 100% sure that it is the latest version AND it is installed as supposed to in the FS9/Modules folder.

You shouldn't need to do that though. Even with creating a flight plan, ASV6 should connect to FS9, and update the weather...Just trying to figure out where the problem lies - do you have other programs that require FSUIPC that are functioning? FSUIPC comes with a couple of applications like FSinterrogate.exe, trafficlook.exe and FSlook2.exe - can these connect to FSUIPC without issue? If so, then the problem is definatly not FSUIPC, but something ASV6 related.

I just downloaded the newest version (Jan 1st) from the official website. This is the unregistered version and only comes with these programs: Weatherset, Weatherset2 and TrafficLook. I tested all of these programs and it seems that none of these actually work. So the problem must be FSUIPC or another file, most likely from an add-on, must be conflicting with it.
