January 22, 200620 yr Hi,This should be an easy one. I purchased ASV and then upgraded to ASV enhanced. Do to other computer issues, I decided to reformat my hardrive and rebuild my system. In the meantime you released ASV6 and ASV6 upgrade 2. My question is, what is the reinstall process from here? Should I reinstall all 4 in the order that they were released, just ASV and AS6 upgrade 2, or something in between? Also I have a registered version of FSUIPC 3.50. Is version 3.53 needed or does it offer any benefits for AS6UG2? FS2004 is working very well now and I have decided to stop being a mechanic and become a pilot again. In other words, minimize the tweaking, if it runs well, leave it alone. Thanks,Ted [email protected] ghz, Noctua C12P CPU air cooler, Asus Z77, 2 x 4gb DDR3 Corsair 2200 mhz cl 9, EVGA 1080ti, Sony 55" 900E TV 3840 x 2160, Windows 7-64, FSX, P3dv3, P3dv4
January 22, 200620 yr Commercial Member Hi Ted,The free upgrade to ASv6 requires ASV (or ASVE) be installed. So:1) Install ASV from your original installation backup, or contact us at [email protected] if you need a new download.2) Install ASv6 unwrapper for ASV/E users from http://sales.hifisim.com/downloads.htm3) Install the latest SU2 patch also available from the above download link.3.53 is highly recommended. There were some problems in earlier versions with wind depiction. I THINK this was related to 3.51 only (so technically 3.50 should be ok) but I do know that 3.53 is the only latest "supported" version that appears to have no problems :) http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.htmlBest, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
January 23, 200620 yr Author Thanks for the quick reply Damian, especially on a Sunday. Excellent support such as you all provide is a significant factor in my selection of which payware add-ons to purchase.Ted [email protected] ghz, Noctua C12P CPU air cooler, Asus Z77, 2 x 4gb DDR3 Corsair 2200 mhz cl 9, EVGA 1080ti, Sony 55" 900E TV 3840 x 2160, Windows 7-64, FSX, P3dv3, P3dv4
