Possible problem at 15W near Ireland and UK

Featured Replies

HiIve been having some weird AS behavior around this location. Looks like its on the edge of the pseudo stations that this problem happens. What happen is that once I enter Concorde SM track I get info in AS that closest station is one of the pseudo stations. AS write weather, but after a few seconds the metar info window jumps back to one of the Irish stations wich causes AS to write again. Note that the closest station indicated is still the pseudo station, it just the metar info that changes for a second. When AS start the update the metar changes back to the pseudo station.Basically this causes AS to go into a continous write loop for a few minutes. Once I get closer to 20W this stop.

Hi,Have you downloaded and installed the latest service pack, SU2?I was experiencing the same problem (elsewhere), but SU2 fixed it.Regards,...jim

Hi Jan,We've heard of this before, temporarily "looping" in very specific (and very few) areas where it seems the data available at the time is missing or very minimal (causing copy and interpolation logic to get confused). There were changes made in SU2 to minimize this and to recover as soon as good data is available. If still happening on SU2 (I'm guessing yes), it might be related to the recent data changes we have been testing and translation (with those missing ICAO fetches I recently responded about via e-mail). It might also be unavoidable. I will have to re-visit this after we get such station files updated. Thanks for the heads-up!Best,

Did some more testing on this.I do not believe that it has anything to do with the new stations and translations. When testing this both Shannon and Cork was reporting. I am guessing those are used to create weather for the first pseudo stations right? What I have seen after some more testing was that the met jumped not only to Irish stations, but even to Canadian and US stations. Will try to write down the ICAO for each of them. Maybe here is a pattern to it.

Hi.I don't know if this is related but I am getting a CTD at a point between REMSI & TUPEM ISEC's (on the UP6 airway) between Belfast & London City.I've tested it 6 times over the last 2 days and the only time I get the CTD is when Active Sky is running & it occurs in the exact same spot (just West of W00 03' 36").The CTD occurs at exactly the same point everytime and only happens with AS6 (I'm running the latest build 464 after the SU2).I've yet to try with archived weather or a different routing & I'll post more when I've tried both those options.- Chaz -
