February 11, 200620 yr Hi Peter,I/we will never stop users from taking on a task such as this! But on the other hand we don't have the time to do this. You have a starting point so fill things in from there.Globally there are a few things in common, but then you look at every possible combination, even just on your list, and you are looking at so many different variables. Just in the above list you have 96 possible combinations. If you have a specific combination to work through, I would be happy to make suggestions.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg
February 11, 200620 yr Author Hi JimI'll have a go and see how it pans out. I have a few ideas from the forum that will give me the starting point and I'll come back to you to confirm if I'm on the right track. Thanks for the reply.RegardsPeter Hayes
February 11, 200620 yr Peter,Perhaps us end users who have found a start up sequence that works can describe it for inclusion in your list.Allow me to start. :-)I do the majority of my flying with pre-packaged flights that occur in the past. The package includes a flight plan, but the package description does not give the exact date/time of the flight which is needed to download the correct weather archive. The flights are usually short, 30 to 90 minutes.I prefer to use ASv6/ASG textures, with WX-Influence.Here goes:ASv6 options:Auto-submit ONStart Paused ONUnpause on FS9 Ready OFFIgnore FS Location until ready ONOffline Playback OFFOnline Updates OFFIgnore FS Ready Status ONTAF Processing OFFUse System Time OFFSequence:Start ASv6.Start FS9.Load flight.Refresh ASv6, note UTC date/time.Close FS9.Close ASv6.Start ASv6.Download archived weather as per date/time noted above.Import and process flight plan.Refresh (loads textures for weather at date/time above.)Start FS9.Load flight.Refresh ASv6 (sets weather.)Refresh AI.Fly!
February 11, 200620 yr Yes, stuff like this!! Don't worry, I/we will not let this thread move too far downward.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg
February 12, 200620 yr Author Jim and JimThanks for the posts. Jim Brown your post was very useful and I will use that in the spreadsheet I will try to develop. RegardsPeter Hayes
February 13, 200620 yr Peter, Jim & Jim, This is awsome stuff. I think it it would be fabulous to have a sticky with a few different scenarios to use as models - like the above suggestions. My hats off to guys like you who take the time to throw it together for the rest of us...great work!!Neil :-)
February 18, 200620 yr whew! Pretty complex for my simple mind. I don't understand this thread...for example, what is the point of having some sequence? I just start ASV6, then FS. Works for me. Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
February 18, 200620 yr Hi,Because with certain software combinations and realism settings there are different steps that can be used. One is not "better" than the other, just different, and none are complex!Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://www.jdtllc.com/images/rcv4bannersupporter.jpg
