How to confirm memory leak???

Featured Replies

Hi.I have a problems, not allways with constant sttutering.I tried same route online and offline (without stuttering). When online (not allways) I have got sttutering. Available Physical memory was the approx the same in both cases online&offline (350Mb) But CPU usage was 40-70% (online) and 15% (offline). What can cause this. And is it Memory Leak connected with CPU usage???ThanksP.S. I'm using last version of ASV

Memory leaks have nothing to do with CPU usuage - they're caused by memory that has been allocated and not released back to the memory pool by the application. What you are seeing is the result of IO caused by being online and is natural. Your processor is too busy sending and receiving message packets to allocate enough time to FS9.DJ

Thanks. But, even If I kill all the programs (close ASV,SB..) and return to FS2004 (without restarting PC), my processor usage is still 60-70%.In that case only restart helps.Next time I will try to see which process is most hungry ;-)

My processor utilization with FS9 running, and no other programs (outside of the usual minor services), approaches 98%. I don't think your processor utilization is excessive. I suspect that your problem lies elsewhere.DJ
