July 9, 200619 yr Hi GuyS !!It is a long time i am using this wonderful tool for weather generation.. Lately i am encountering a strange behaviour when i land and there is a bit of turbolunce or even when ther eis not turbolence once i disconnect the autopilot and pilot the plane manually about at 500-600 feeto from Rwy the plane dive pitch the nose down and i have to lift it like the re is always a windshear situation. How can i avoid it happens again? Is there any function i can chaeck? Thank You Alfredo Alfredo Russo
July 9, 200619 yr Hi,Have you manually generated a Thermal Point? Is it a Wake Turbulence Event? Those are reported on the ASv6 Main Screen.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
July 9, 200619 yr Author Hi Thank You for ur reply !!Anyway no !! I dint create any thermal and i didnt see any wake turbolence asa lot of times i land much later than other planes..Thank You Alfredo Alfredo Russo
July 10, 200619 yr Hi,If you do not use auto pilot does this happen?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
July 10, 200619 yr Author Hi !Well i never use the autopilot in landing!! Thank you Alfredo Alfredo Russo
July 10, 200619 yr Hi,If you fly the whole flight without autopilot does this happen?Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://dot.kelder.net:8080/fseconomy/
July 10, 200619 yr Author Hi !!It happens only in the landing part i mean 500-600 feet before landingother part of the flight is erfect with or without autopilot even take off never had problems... For that i talked about a sort of windshear:D Alfredo Russo
July 10, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,It does sound like either a thermal or wake turbulence. You can disable VAS and wake turbulence via AS options. Please try this and see if it goes away. Then you can add one or the other option back to isolate which option it is.If it's wake, it is probably due to a landing aircraft within 2-3 minutes of your arrival. You can fly a higher approach path when this happens or slow down to increase separation. Or leave the option off.If it is a thermal, you might have a saved thermal right at the approach end of the airport. You can clear your thermals by deleting thermals.txt (modulesASv6). It could also be a random thermal (VAS generation) which you can also turn off, but because it appears to be happening all the time it looks like it's a set thermal instead of generated one.Hope that helps! July 10, 200619 yr Author Hi !!Ok I try to see about the wake turbolence as in the modules/asv6 i dont have any thermal.txt and in the option mnu autogenerate VAs is disabled do the only one was about the wake turbolence but actually as a plane dont land just in fron of u sometimes it is difficult to check the descending path of the plane landing before us so it become difficult to modify ur angle too above al If u fly in IMC with low viisibility... Anyway i wil try with the wake turbolence and I 'LL let u KnowThankks Again for ur interest and helpRegards Alfredo Alfredo Russo
