August 13, 200619 yr I just recently upgraded to a shiny new dual core AMD 4800+ CPU and X1900GT GPU and was revisiting some of my performance and quality settings in FS, in order to maximize my new hardware.Do you guys use auto-submit of new cirrus textures for ASv6? I found that even on my system I got some stutters while it auto-updated, even though I have both throttling options disabled and am running on a dual core.Do you find this happeneing to you as well? ASv6 Updates very quickly and there is no performance hit at all during any of the update processes except for the auto-submit of new cirrus textures.Ruahrc

August 14, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,Make sure you're on the latest build and you are using "Keep ASG open during auto-submits"... otherwise ASG must actually load itself each time, which can cause a performance hit. The copy of files (cirrus textures) itself should not be a big hit. We recommend process throttle ON to slow things down a bit (including texture submits). You may also want to look at any potential disk-access "middle-men" such as AV, anti-spyware, etc... Perhaps disabling the FS texture folder from scan.Lastly, maybe try running a defrag to make the HD perform a little better.Hope these suggestions help..Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
