August 19, 200619 yr Hello again. I have previously posted on this forum before regarding a missing Radar Module. Thanks to Jim (ActiveSky Developer and Supporter),this is now been rectified. Does anyone recommend or know any decent Lightening textures and sound files that works well with ASv6 program?.Because the default ones looks pretty dire along side the excellent ASv6 Clouds and Sky Graphics. Any feedback will be much appreciated. David
August 20, 200619 yr Hi,Have found some good textures at flightsim and I think some good thunder sounds there also. Then I adjusted the sounds even more. I created some more base effect and volume.Hope this helps,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
August 20, 200619 yr Thanks Jim Following your advice and went to "Flightsim" website, which I have not been visiting for a long time since I'm more custom to "Avsim". Anyway, went in the files section and highlighted "Lightning and Thunder"in FS2004 paragraph and came up with a few files - namely Thunder and Lightning "Virtual Reality 2" written by Brian Neitzel.Press download,OMG its download speed reminded me when I was in the 56k era,it's so Slow compared my current 4MB connection. So I nipped over to this site and luckily,it had Brian Neitzel files here. The download speed with Avsim is more acceptable than say Flightsim's.Brian Neitzel's Thunder and Lightning "Virtual Reality 2" Files are nice addition to coincide with ASv6 Program.

August 20, 200619 yr Hi Rhett If you don't mind me asking, what Adjustments did you make?I fancy to adjust the thunder sound to give more rumble, but don't know how to adjust the Sound cfg because I can't find it.Maybe you know where the Sound cfg is! Cheers David "Don't drink and Fly"
August 21, 200619 yr I didn't mess with the sound.cfg files. All I did was increase the volume of the .wav files using Sound Recorder (you know, the Sound Recorder applet built into Windows, filename soundrec32.exe or soundrec.exe).I did that to properly balance (in my opinion) the thunder sounds vs. other sounds in the sim. Thunder really is very loud...just yesterday we had bolts hitting all around in a severe thunderstorm...I almost went to the basement, it was so bad.Rhett Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

August 26, 200619 yr I downloaded the file noted above, but wonder if this works OK with ASV, seems a little complex to install so would appreciate some tips before I mess with the basic files..........thanks, B42L8
