August 31, 200619 yr Hi there, just got a registered copy of FSUIPC and was just wondering if there are any settings I can change to help/improve my weather with AS6.ThanksDaniel 🛫
September 1, 200619 yr Hi Daniel,Is there a particular problem you are having? Because we design AS for the unregistered version the things you could do are tweaking types. For some wind shifts are still too much so they tweak a bit. Some like to adjust those visibility settings. In general we still think that normal defaults and weather settings off are the best for most users. Please let us know if you are having a particular problem.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

September 3, 200619 yr Hi JimA very interestying question now that FSUIPC has undergone major changes. What about the basic settings in FSUIPC eg"Clear all weather" (I use a "HOT" key)Weather settings off" Do we still have to check these each time that we start FS2004?Pete D has made a lot of changes in the last few months so do we have to be arare of thsi:"Clear weather stops dynamics" - how does this interface with ASV6 ie using the AWI (Advanced weather interface)Do we need to change, select, deselect any of these?"Smooth visibility changes""Upper altitude of restricted visibility""Random extend METAR maxima""Icing""Set one cloud layer" "Restrict cloud thickness""Allow changes to FS own weather""Smooth pressure changes""Taxi winds" ("reduced crosswind"Shouldn't we look at "Prevent external option control" to make sure ASV6 is in fact controlling the weather ie this page will be largely greyed out if it is?Probably most of the above will be disabled by "weather settings off" , but some may not.REgardsPeterH
September 3, 200619 yr Hi Peter,It is still good to use the Clear all Weather button. That is good that you have a hot key!Weather settings off can be clicked once and then not again until a new FSUIPC.dll is installed. No need to think about that dynamics option. We do try to work with Pete as new versions are released as far as options are concerned. So as things are added, we try to check things out.As far as the other list, some are tweaks and some are taken care of through ASv6 such as smooth vis. changes, allow changes to FS own weather, and clouds. I hope this is a good explaination!Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
