October 21, 200619 yr I see that ASv6.5 is compatible with FSX but I can't find how I go about installing it into FSX.Please HelpWilbert Wilbert
October 21, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,It doesn't need to be "installed into FSX" as it's an external application that works with FSX. If you want to install ASv6 itself into another folder other than the current you can uninstall/reinstall and choose your desired new folder..Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
October 21, 200619 yr Author Thanks for responding however, I don't quite understand how to make ActiveSky work in FSX. Is there some procedure explaining this? I've installed the latest update but it only refrenced to my existing FS9 setup. There were no options concerning FSX that I could find.Wilbert Wilbert
October 21, 200619 yr Commercial Member Hi,You just need to make sure FSUIPC v4 is installed (http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html) and then ASv6.5 will automatically connect as required. No options for FSX because it's not important to AS... it just connects to FSUIPC and either version of FS you have installed. As mentioned in FSX Compat.txt, you can point the FS path in ASv6.ini to your FSX installation. Once that's done the station databases will be updated for extended station coverage (not so important in FSX, so this is an optional step).Best, Damian ClarkHiFi Simulation Technologies
