November 13, 200619 yr Is there any point in enabling 'Vertical Air Simulation' if you don't have 'Auto Generate VAS Points' enabled? Are the defaults for VAS points a good number (30%)??Thanks! November 14, 200619 yr Hi All,You are correct and 30 is a good number to use. Some like more so they bump it up. I like 100 in FS04 so that is where mine is at!Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
November 23, 200619 yr Bumping this thread after doing many flights with and without VAS, and not seeing any difference in my 737 or 747. What exactly does it do ... for jet flying at high altitudes that is ?? Or is the feature really only for gliders?
November 23, 200619 yr Hi,Question: Do you have VAS set to 100%? Is VAS Strength set to 100?Larger planes are not going to see as much of an effect as smaller planes. And remember this is not the same as turbulence, though they are related. Please let us know,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/

November 24, 200619 yr Author But what is a 'realistic' setting?Glenn Glenn Ryzen 3700X, X570 Pro Wifi, 32GB 3600mhz RAM, Nvidia Titan Xp "Galactic Empire", RM750x PSU, H700 case, 2x NVMe M2 SSD, 1x SATA SSD
November 24, 200619 yr Hi Glenn,This is hard because what is realistic to one may not be to another. I use 100, 100 because I fly larger planes more than smaller ones. A user that bush flys, may prefer lower settings.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
