Hello. Love the product by the way. So, i've decided to network my computer to free up some resources and followed (or tried to at least) the sticky on how to do it to the tee. I've mapped the drives and according to the instructions, said that once I install AS6 that it will ask me where FS9 is installed and ask for application data files, none of which happened. AS6 connects to FS through WideFS but not sure if my textures are installed on the main. Any help?Thanks

Hi,To test this do this:1. Start ASG and submit some cumulus cloud textures. Look at what time it is.2. Open your main Texture folder and find the cumulus1.bmp file. Right mouse click on it and go to Properties.3. Check the Modified tie and see if the time matches to the time you submitted the texture from ASG.Please let us know! You are right. I dont think I have this network setup correctly. It keeps saying I don't have admin rights, but I do. I even turned off my firewall. Still no access. Can someone help me out on how to correctly set this up? My laptop see's the other computers on the network and I mapped my c drive still nothing.

You need to map a drive on your client to your server application data folder and then SHARE it. I still get the "can't find application data folder every time I start, plus an FPS drop to 4 or 5 while airports are updated. It is apparently a simconnect problem that Pete Dowson is working on with ACES. Have fun! :)Bob...

Hi,I just found this topic when I did a search to check that my AS6 WideFS installation was working properly. It is!I'm just wondering why the only file which seems to update during an ASG submit is the cumulus01.bmp one. None of the other files ever have changed dates. Is this right?With all the different weather patterns that Active Sky can produce (although I've only tested a few to check this), it seems odd that only one cumulus bmp texture is ever updated (as far as I can tell), or am I wrong?
