December 22, 200619 yr Hello.Hopefully one of you will answer this for me.After looking online about converters for UTC time I think I'm still a little confused about downloading archived weather.Let's say I want to download weather for a particular day at 1:00PM PST. What would I enter for UTC time and how do you figure it out? Thanks!
December 22, 200619 yr UTC is basically the same as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).GMT is 8 hours "ahead" of PST, so 1:00PM PST will give you 9:00PM GMT. So you would have to enter 9:00PM or 21:00.Note that 9:00PM is usually written 21:00 or 2100 hrs as of international (universal) convention. Also note that some regions might be on daylight saving time (usually + 1 hr) during summer, and that some regions have 30 minutes offsets (e.g. India) etc.For a quick reference check:http://www.fhs.ch/en/worldclock.phporhttp://www.weltzeit.de/zeitzonenkarte.phpHope that helps.
December 22, 200619 yr Right. You would enter 21 in AS. and that would give you 1:00 pm PST.In my case I always enter 6 hours back. So if I want todays weather at 1 in the afternoon, I download weather from 19:00 GMT.RhettAMD 3700+ (@2530 mhz), eVGA 7800GT 256 (Guru3D 93.71), ASUS A8N-E, PC Power 510 SLI, 2 GB Corsair XMS 3-3-3-8, WD 250 gig 7200 rpm SATA2, CoolerMaster Praetorian Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
