February 8, 200719 yr When I enter EGGW (London Luton) into the bottom part of the main AS6 screen to fetch it's report, it brings up EGSS (london Stansted).A similar thing happens with EGKK (London Gatwick). AS6 brings up weather for EGKB (Biggin Hill).Any ideas?? Phil Brown
February 8, 200719 yr Hi Phil,Yes. this has come up a few times in the past. If I remember right it is a data situation. Maybe JT will see this or I can point him.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
February 9, 200719 yr Hi Phil,What release of AS are you using? This was a problem a long time ago after an update to the airport database. It should be fixed afaik.
February 9, 200719 yr Hi JT,My B536 acts the same way when you use the Fetch A Report window for these 2 stations.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
February 9, 200719 yr This is odd...I sent the updated airport file to Damian in late June last year...Please verify the following entries in the file:EGGW,51.875,-0.368,525EGKK,51.148,-0.190,194If these dont match what you have then something is very wrong. I'm still using R533, but I did a complete reinstall less than a month ago and got the above. Also plese tell me if the first airport code is 00AL
February 9, 200719 yr Hi JT,My list is dated 6-20-2006 and the longititude values are positive and not negative.Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
February 9, 200719 yr Author Am using AS6 Build 499. Probably could do with updating.00AL is the first aiport. As already posted, the latitude were positive, not negative. Added the minus sign and saved the file, and now the proper airports come up.Before they were listed as:EGGW,51.875,0.368,525EGGK,51.148,0.190,194 Phil Brown
February 9, 200719 yr I dont know what happend here. On 6/14/2006 I sent Damian the fixed file that corrected my mistakes for airports close to 0 degrees longitude. What is making it even more weird is that with a complete reinstall I got the correct file here. That means at least some update somewhere is using the correct file, and maybe others dont :-hmmm
February 9, 200719 yr Author Maybe it's about time I attempted an update. Will give it a go over the next few days. I re-installed the last time I wiped the computer (a good while ago).I would tell you the date I've got on my file, but after updating it myself, it now shows 8 Feb 2007. Forgot to note the date before hand. D'oh! Phil Brown
February 10, 200719 yr Hi All,Going from B533 to 536, the file is not changed. If you manually delete the file and then reinstall with the B536 link, then the corrected file is there. So that tells me that, at least, the B536 update does not overwrite the complete_airport_list.txt file.I will point Damian to this thread.Jimhttp://www.hifisim.com/Active Sky V6 Development Team Active Sky V6 Proud SupporterHiFi Beta TeamRadar Contact Supporter: http://www.jdtllc.com/AirSource Member: http://www.air-source.us/FSEconomy Member:http://www.fseconomy.com/
